The Digital Health team at Novant Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible PRN Rheumatologist to join their expanding team. This role involves delivering clinical services through telehealth modalities and contributing to digital care delivery initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Utilize approved medical practices process in delivering patient care
- Provide clinical assessments and recommend appropriate levels of care based on clinical judgment and protocols
- Review and update patient records for accuracy
- Offer education experiences to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and the community
- Analyze test results and determine necessary care, including referrals and further treatment options
- Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards and ensure compliance
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited medical school
- At least 3 years of experience in a physician practice, emergency room, or urgent care setting
- At least 1 year of experience in a telehealth/virtual care setting
- Active North Carolina medical license, board certification, and current DEA license
- Ability to obtain additional state licensure as required
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment
- Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing
- Effective teamwork, customer service, and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including navigation and documentation in an EMR
- Knowledge of healthcare environments, technology, and related fields

This position collaborates with various teams to ensure quality, compliance, and continuity of care. It also involves up to 25% regional day travel between facilities.
