MRI Technologist, Clinic
About the role
Park Nicollet is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their Radiology team. This position is part of the Partner for Good initiative, aiming to enhance patient care and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging in accordance with established protocols.
- Interacts with patients, clinicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Applies knowledge of MRI safety, emergency protocols and procedures.
- Complies with regulatory standards.
- Educates and trains others on the operation of all MRI equipment, procedures, image quality, and exposure techniques.
Requirements
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry is required and must be maintained. Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance required within 12 months after first shift working solo within modality. Must maintain ARRT (R)(MR).
- In lieu of ARRT (R) requirement, an ultrasound or nuclear medicine certification may be considered based on business need.
- Must obtain certification of BLS within 6 months and continuously maintain.
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Problem solving skills and discretion with patient information is also required. Computer knowledge or experience in specialized imaging systems such as three-dimensional reconstruction is required. The ability to exercise good judgment is important. Must exhibit strong interpersonal and team building skills. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. For MRI specialty positions (Cardiac, Breast, Prostate, 3T) experience in the specialty areas is preferred.

Qualifications
- Must possess the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment safely and efficiently: Patient Transfer Devices, Security System, Fire Alarms, Three Dimensional Workstations, Emergency Equipment, Power Injector, PC, printer, voice documentation devices, fax and photocopier.
- Proficient in EMR processes, and PACS.
- Must be willing to train and maintain competency in the operation of new equipment and technology.
