Responsibilities

• Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within scope of responsibility.
• Affirms that a proper order is received prior to an exam performance and collects pertinent information prior to performing exam.
• Aids the Radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes to the patient that may alter exam protocol and performance.
• Reviews images for quality and completeness.
• Verifies that all images are on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with appropriate paperwork scanned in and distributes exam for interpretation to appropriate radiologist at completion of exam.
• Demonstrates regard for patients' safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning of patient.
• Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers orally or by intravenous injection (IV) the correct diagnostic or therapeutic dosage and completes all required records.
• Maintains accurate and complete record of all material received, dispensed, decayed and disposed of.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

• Radiographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date | HR Primary Sources
• Radiographer | American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) | Within 6 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging | American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) | Within 24 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources
• Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 Days of Start Date | Learning Management System

Qualifications

• Associates - Radiologic Technology
• Bachelors - Radiologic Technology

Skills

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English

32 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
