Digital Environmental Consultant
About the role
The Digital Environmental Consultant will focus on supporting the consulting and delivery for environmental solution deployment and support for new and existing clients. An ideal candidate has experience in environmental compliance, consulting or in industry, and an aptitude for solving problems with digital solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business challenges into data- and automation-driven solutions, supporting projects from inception to successful completion. Success in this role requires the ability to communicate with cross-functional engineering and digital teams, develop strong networking relationships, and ensure high quality delivery of innovative solutions. The candidate must exhibit attention to detail, time management, organization skills, and be able to drive execution of innovative solutions. The role is a position in our Specialized Consulting group within our Digital and Data (D&D) business unit. Digital & Data is the core foundation for operationalizing and delivering creative, innovative, next-generation cloud, cyber, data and digital solutions across Jacobs to enable our customers and partners globally. Through strategic alliances and internal & external investment, our Specialized Consulting team focuses on bringing world-class solutions that solve our customers’ challenges. Within D&D, our group specializes in leading clients through solution planning, design, and implementation to digitize their business processes and reporting for regulatory compliance and sustainability needs.
Location: Hybrid 2 days per week at any US based Jacobs office.
Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy software and data solutions to meet client needs across risk, compliance, production, and other operational processes within both Jacobs-developed and 3rd party platforms
- Work with our partner software vendors to deliver client work, either with Jacobs as a prime consultant or as part of a partner-led implementation team
- Design and develop the actual outputs using 3rd party and custom solutions that enable our clients to maintain compliance with internal and external requirements
- Test your own work and review other team members' work to ensure quality delivery
- Develop creative training resources and deliver training directly to client users to maximize user adoption
Qualifications
- Relevant coursework, internships, co-ops, and/or 0-2 years of work experience in environmental compliance/auditing, software development/implementation, or consulting
- Experience with databases and configuration of off-the-shelf applications
- A willingness to learn cutting edge approaches to creation and application of AI solutions, including leveraging large-language models (LLMs), generative AI, and machine learning
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or data analytics
- Experience in environmental and/or safety consulting and business processes
- Experience in compliance/risk software solutions such as Intelex (ACTS), Sphera, Cority, Enablon, or other market leaders

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid 2 days per week at any US based Jacobs office. We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work. Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
