About the role

The Digital Delivery Specialist (DDS) is focused on the Building Information Modeling (BIM) portion of the Digital Delivery team and supports the design and project delivery process. The DDS works under the direction of the Digital Delivery Director and supports BIM workflows and digital design methods and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up with other DDS and BIM Coordinators to support the implementation of BIM technology.
  • Coordinate and monitor the effective implementation of BIM on projects across all offices.
  • Manage the implementation of supporting software applications for BIM and project delivery.
  • Stay current with new and emerging technologies and best practices impacting digital design to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide feedback to the Digital Delivery team on project-based activities.
  • Act as a resource and team member in all phases of the project.
  • Manage content platforms (libraries).
  • Liaise with Digital Delivery specialists across the organization and third-party technology vendors.
  • Maintain and develop BIM-related content for design practice.
  • Document Digital Delivery processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Coordinate with the IT group regarding any software and network support needed as it relates to BIM and project delivery.
  • Create help guides and other tech-related materials.
  • Review performance and progress on a regular basis and recommend improvements where applicable.
  • Ensure projects document processes, procedures, and workflows for lessons learned information.
  • Research Interoperability Management between BIM and design / engineering tools.
  • Proactively learn new technology software.
  • Drive Standards, processes & procedures.
  • Surveil project needs of integrating BIM and Information Technology.
  • Ensure template project BIM execution plans adequately address project needs.
  • Understand BIM Industry Coordination / Collaboration practices.
  • Understand Clash-Detection, Communication, and resolution practices.
  • Provide Clash-detection sessions under the supervision of the PDDL.
  • Understand the issues with Multiple Design Models Coordination.
  • Understand the BIM facility lifecycle.
  • Aid in leading BIM Coordination Meetings.
  • Liaison with BIM project staff in deploying project-template and surveilling projects applicability.
  • Aid project teams in BIM project set up and the development of BIM Execution Plans (BxP).
  • Aid integrated design teams to develop BIM workflows and strategies for effective collaboration on BIM projects.
  • Aid project teams with troubleshooting, model management, and design as well as coordination issues.
  • Responsible for automating processes and tasks using scripting and/or integrations with 3rd party tools.
  • Prepare workflows integrating other software with Revit® software for; user productivity, model coordination, analysis, data enrichment, rendering and animation.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques.
  • Expertise in Revit/Navisworks required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Proactivity: Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the Digital Delivery Team. Think strategically as well as provide subject matter expert knowledge and advice on highly technical issues.
  • Possess an attitude to lead by example.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling inclusive of 3+ years experience managing BIM Projects is required.
  • Bachelor Degree of Science in Architecture/Engineering is required.

$112,200.00 - $196,400.00
