Digital Content Coordinator
ALPA represents more than 79,000 pilots at 42 airlines in the United States and Canada. The Digital Content Coordinator provides digital content strategy, execution, product development, and project coordination to advance and support the FedEx Master Executive Council’s (MEC’s) Communications Committee and the Association’s Communications Department’s digital goals.
About the role
The Digital Content Coordinator enhances digital and print design, content editing, posting, and maintenance of MEC websites, email communications, social media channels, and other ALPA platforms. They support the mission, vision, and values of the MEC and the Association, amplifying communications on behalf of the MEC, Local Executive Councils (LECs), and MEC-based committees. Responsibilities include updating content on MEC websites, assisting with mass emails, and promoting content on social media, all while collaborating with MEC Officers, Communications committee leadership, IT staff, and colleagues in other offices.
Travel: 5–10%.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital content strategy, including continuous improvement of digital communications products, workflows, and member engagement.
- Design and maintain digital and print materials from concept to execution.
- Manage email design, maintenance, and distribution.
- Update and maintain content on MEC websites and other ALPA platforms.
- Assist in social media promotion and engagement.
- Exercise independent judgment to identify opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and develop innovative communications products.
- Advance the MEC’s Communications Committee’s strategic objectives through project management and collaboration.
- Quality control text documents for web and email distribution.
- Facilitate project work with vendors and consultants as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and practical experience).
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in digital content strategy, website development, and/or digital design (five or more years strongly preferred).
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and controlling page content to communicate goals digitally.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and XD.
- Experience designing for both print and digital media with a proven record of success.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Responsive Web Design (W3.CSS); familiarity with other markup or programming languages preferred.
- Experience with email platforms and Microsoft Office suite strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and decipher technical information and documents.
- Experience with audio and video editing software is a plus.
- Ability to test and troubleshoot software.
- Familiarity with new technologies for enhancing text, photographs, and graphics.
- Knowledge of labor-related issues preferred.

- Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Dreamweaver.

Pay
Projected annual salary range: $73,625.00 – $105,108.00.
