Digital Advertising Operations Specialist

Basics

Duration: 5-month contract, potential for extension or conversion
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Hybrid, based in Knoxville, TN
Onsite Requirements: 1-2 days onsite per week
On-Call Support: Participation in an on-call rotation required

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in digital ad trafficking, campaign operations, or ad operations
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager and/or FreeWheel
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, Smartsheet, Pivot Tables, or similar reporting tools

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Setup & Trafficking
  • Traffic multiple creative formats including display, video, native, mobile, and CTV advertising
  • Review and QA creative assets to ensure compliance with platform and industry specifications
  • Support campaign setup across various content types and distribution channels
  • Campaign Monitoring & Optimization
  • Monitor campaign launches to ensure accurate delivery and execution
  • Track campaign pacing and performance throughout campaign flights
  • Identify performance risks and provide optimization recommendations
  • Monitor first-party and third-party delivery metrics and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support
  • Investigate creative rendering issues, delivery concerns, and reporting discrepancies
  • Create and manage test environments to validate campaign functionality
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve technical and operational issues
  • Provide support and technical guidance related to advertising technologies and integrations
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare campaign reports and performance summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Analyze campaign delivery, pacing, and performance metrics
  • Identify trends, insights, and opportunities that improve campaign outcomes
  • Support reporting requests and ongoing business reviews
  • Operational Excellence
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Maintain and update campaign management documentation and workflows
  • Help optimize systems, integrations, and campaign execution processes
  • Support business continuity through occasional evening or weekend coverage when required
