Dietitians & Nutritionist - 25855

About the role

The Nutritionist will review and evaluate the food service operation and nutrition components of childcare centers, after-school programs, day care homes, adult day cares, and shelters participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in the NYS Metropolitan Region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site program reviews to evaluate food service activities.
• Provide training and technical assistance on CACFP record keeping, meal planning, and program regulations to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Approve or disapprove corrective action plans for implementation by organizations in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
• Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Professional approach to working with program staff and the public.
• Monthly travel may be required.
