Dietitian Specialist

About the role

Location: Morrison Healthcare at Greeneville Community Hospital. Setting: Acute Care. Schedule: Monday‑Friday, rotating remote weekends. As a Dietitian Specialist you will conduct clinical administrative duties, serve as a liaison between the clinical teams and the food service department and perform NFPEs and malnutrition identification on patients. This position will mainly support med/surg and ICU patients. Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence‑based nutrition care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long‑term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high‑quality, consistent care
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
