Dietitian
Location: Morrison Healthcare at CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier ~ Highland Medical Center, Shreveport, LA. Full time, Monday - Friday, with weekend/holiday rotation.
About the role
Join a dynamic clinical nutrition team, delivering Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients with diverse nutritional needs at our 220-bed acute care medical center. As a Clinical Dietitian, you’ll provide comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop individualized care plans, and offer education to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
- Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
- Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
- Contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
- Collaborate with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
- Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
- Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
- Nutrition Support experience is a plus.
