Dietary Worker - Part-Time (Stony Brook Southampton Hospital)
Serving patient food, maintaining cleanliness and organization of patient workstation.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of patients' diets and various tray line positions to ensure accurate meals to patients.
- Operation of dish machine or pot washing station.
- Break down and clean up after meals.
- Maintain safe and sanitary conditions of tables, carts, equipment, and service ware.
- Demonstrate ability to comprehend and complete job assignments as assigned.
- Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Utilize equipment in performing job functions as per department safety procedures.
- Report unsafe, worn, or damaged equipment.
- Maintain workstation in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Comply with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Policies and Procedures.
- Travel to other locations may be needed to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write simple English.
- Understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
