A Day in the Life of a Certified Dietary Manager
You play a vital role in our clinical process. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!
You assume overall responsibility for all operations of the Dietary Department.
- Work with residents and other team members to plan menus and food service programs.
- Maintain stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment and order as needed.
- Monitor residents' condition changes, food consumption, and specific dietary requirements.
- Communicate any changes to residents' conditions, food consumption, and dietary needs.
- Follow dietary procedures, related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing home kitchen and dining operations.
Qualifications
- Current CDM or CFM certification. (required within 8 months of hiring)
- One year of experience in long-term care.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- A desire to work with seniors.
