Dietary Manager

About the role

CareCore at Westmoreland is seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure our residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing food service operations, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance within a healthcare or long-term care setting. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department
• Supervise, schedule, train, and support dietary staff
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and department costs
• Work closely with the Dietitian and nursing team to meet resident dietary needs
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to prescribed diets and resident preferences
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
• Maintain survey readiness and required dietary documentation
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing dietary team members
• Promote a positive dining experience for residents

Requirements

• ServSafe certification required
• Previous dietary or food service management experience required
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is a plus
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, therapeutic diets, and regulatory requirements
• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on with daily department operations
