Dietary Manager

Responsibilities

• Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes.
• Order food, following Bickford’s process, in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Ensure appropriate information is available to produce meals (i.e., production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, week’s extension menus, week-at-a-glance menus).
• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at correct temperatures and appropriately plated.
• Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
• Utilize residents’ Meal Order Information form to follow/track all resident physician ordered diets, allergies, and preferences.
• Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
• Store food in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
• Ensure completion of the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Ensure the kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements and Bickford’s expectations for cleanliness.
• Cook with other team members to coordinate with marketing and life enrichment leaders to ensure appropriate food/refreshments are provided for tours and events.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED;
• One-year related experience;
• Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require;
• ServSafe, CPR and First Aid certifications required;
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record that is consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines;
• Ability to handle multiple priorities;
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication;
• Competent in organizational and time management skills;
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
