Dietary Cook

About the role

Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Cook to enhance the quality of life and overall well-being of residents through exceptional service and nutritious meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with resident dietary needs, physician orders, and nutritional guidelines
• Ensure food quality, proper portioning, and timely meal service
• Monitor food inventory levels and place supply orders as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and work environment in compliance with health regulations
• Supervise and provide guidance to dietary assistants as assigned
• Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience cooking in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred
• Strong understanding of dietary needs and food safety regulations
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
