VibraLife is a Rehabilitation Center and Senior Living Community comprised of a short-term rehabilitation/skilled nursing facility as well as an assisted living unit. Located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Vibralife is a beautiful, one-story, state-of-the-art facility that includes the Vibra Rehabilitation Center and Vibra Senior Living. Expertly designed to address comprehensive care and living needs post injury or illness, VibraLife delivers a fully integrated care continuum for both patients and residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties necessary for the operation of the food service department.
- Prepare food items and assemble prepared foods for resident trays and tray line assembly.
- Deliver trays and serve in the cafeteria.
- Clean up in the kitchen and dining room, including dish washing.
- Handle cashiering duties in the cafeteria as needed.
- Accept delivery of dietary supplies, inspect products for freshness and accuracy.
- Assist in the rotation of food stores and monitor food expiration dates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a dietary aide in lieu of education will be considered.
- Food handling certification as required by State regulations.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
- Six (6) months previous food service experience preferred.
- Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
