Dietary Aide - Part Time - Days

About the role

We are hiring a Part-Time Food Service Assistant for day shifts with a wage starting at $14.50+, based on experience. Shifts vary between 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM and some 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on weekdays, with every other weekend required from 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper temperature of food
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
• Prepare and serve food items
• Restock food areas
• Clean and sanitize equipment
• Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
• Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers
• Establish effective working relationships
• Maintain quality control standards
• Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money, and knowledge of food service preferred
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
• On-the-job training provided
• Depending upon location, ServSafe certification may be required within a designated time frame
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location

Pay

Salary range: $14.50 – $22.50 per hour

• Part-time, 20 hours per week
• Weekday shifts vary between 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM and some 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
