Diesel Technicians at Gordon Truck Centers (GTC) dealerships lead the charge in workmanship, commitment to safety, and providing reliable, first-class service to customers across the Pacific Northwest. GTC builds the team with the best employees and we’re hiring Diesel Technicians for the Mount Vernon, WA Freightliner Northwest location!

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in workmanship and commitment to safety.
  • Work with cutting-edge industry technologies.
  • Perform routine maintenance or complete engine overhauls.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and analyze results.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
  • Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.

Qualifications

  • Heavy equipment dealership experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Pay

Pay Range $20 - $50 per hour based upon level of skill and experience. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.
