Diesel Technician - JCB Equipment

About the Role

The Diesel Technician performs service work ranging from basic maintenance to complex diagnostics on JCB agricultural and construction equipment. Repairs and maintenance are conducted on both customer-owned and dealer-owned equipment, either remotely or in-store.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote all company values, leading by example and participating in employee recognition programs.
• Perform basic and complex diagnostics on JCB equipment to determine necessary repairs or future maintenance recommendations, whether at the shop or customer sites.
• Execute repairs on equipment (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical) as assigned by the JCB Service Writer, ensuring quality work and efficiency goals are met.
• Complete all service-related reports and forms accurately and promptly, including inspection reports, warranty comments, and work orders. Use computers/tablets for data entry and ensure supervisors are informed of any billing or customer satisfaction issues.
• Participate in job-related training and development, actively improving skills through additional training programs.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition and ensure cleanliness, including proper storage of tools.
• Follow all company and safety policies, using required personal safety equipment and maintaining a safe work environment. Report any safety issues to management.
• Collaborate with other technicians, parts, and sales personnel. Mentor Service Technician Apprentices and junior Technicians as needed. Work after hours (daily or weekend) when required.
• Ensure clear communication within the location and with other locations/employees. Communicate effectively with customers and escalate operational issues to management.
