Diesel Technician

About the role

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction, and Agriculture Industry. We are currently seeking Diesel Technicians to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Carry out necessary repairs and conduct more complex repairs to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues reported by drivers or operators, providing effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
• Complete service reports, order parts, and maintain clear customer records.
• Field Technicians will respond to service calls on-site.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in related fields.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Previous experience working on Volvo equipment is a plus but not required.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Positive attitude and a desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
• CDL is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Pay

$25.00 – $50.00 per hour, based on prior experience and demonstrable knowledge.
