Diesel Technician

About the role

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems;
• Carrying out necessary repairs and conducting more complex repairs to ensure proper functioning;
• Troubleshooting and analyzing issues reported by drivers or operators, and providing effective solutions to address the problems;
• Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed;
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed;
• Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records;
• Field Technicians will be going out to service calls.

Requirements

• Two year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in any of the above fields;
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems;
• Previous experience working on Volvo equipment is a plus, but not required;
• Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills;
• A positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service;
• Computer, written and verbal communication skills.
