Role: Diesel Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing transport fleet equipment to ensure safety and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and maintenance on trailers and trucks in compliance with DOT standards, perform preventive and corrective repairs, manage documentation, handle emergency repairs, coordinate outside repairs and certifications, maintain shop areas, and perform routine tasks like oil changes, tire changes, and electrical system repairs. Qualifications & Skills: Valid driver’s license, strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, experience with diesel engines and semi-trailers preferred, technical training or certification in truck mechanics is advantageous. Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems is a plus. Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and travel up to 25%. Must be trained in OSHA’s HAZWOPER standards if spill response is required.
