Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and maintenance on trailers and trucks in compliance with DOT standards
- Perform preventive and corrective repairs
- Manage documentation
- Handle emergency repairs
- Cook up outside repairs and certifications
- Maintain shop areas
- Perform routine tasks like oil changes, tire changes, and electrical system repairs
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with diesel engines and semi-trailers preferred
- Technical training or certification in truck mechanics is advantageous
- Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Prioritize tasks
- Travel up to 25%
- Trained in OSHA’s HAZWOPER standards if spill response is required
