Responsibilities

  • Provide superb customer service by diagnosing, visual inspections, removal of parts and attachments, and warranty repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services.
  • Repair lights and wiring, welding, cutting, and other repairs.
  • Upsell services to qualify for a monthly bonus incentive.

This position reports to the Service Manager and is a 40-hour-a-week role eligible for overtime. For well-qualified, proven efficient applicants, we also offer a flat-rate compensation plan.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Professional appearance and strong oral and written communication skills with customers, vendors, and other contacts.

Physical Demands

  • Stand six to eight hours per shift.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.
  • Use hand and power tools.
  • Lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds several times during each shift.
  • Use hoist and test equipment.
  • Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
