About the role
Nextran Truck Centers is hiring a Diesel Technician to join their team. This position offers career growth opportunities within a network of 30 dealerships, along with various benefits such as disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a match.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Complete repairs ranging from minor fixes to major overhauls
- Disassemble and reassemble components accurately and efficiently
- Document work with clear, detailed service notes
- Use basic computer systems for work orders and diagnostics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working on diesel engines or commercial trucks
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record (CDL preferred)
- 4+ years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Basic computer skills

The position is non-exempt and aligned with your experience, certifications, education, and skill set.

Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM ; Monday through Friday
