Diesel Technician
About the role
As a Diesel Technician, you are a valued member of our team, performing accurate diagnosis and essential repair of commercial vehicles. Quality and cost-effective preventive maintenance, effective communication with the parts department and the service advisor, safe movement of trucks/equipment to/from shop and yard area, reporting machinery defects and malfunctions, documentation of all work performed, and first-class customer service are among your responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnosis and essential repair of commercial vehicles
- Provide quality and cost-effective preventive maintenance
- Communicate effectively with the parts department and the service advisor
- Maintain safety while moving trucks/equipment to/from shop and yard area
- Report machinery defects and malfunctions
- Document all work performed accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service
Requirements
- Prior Mack/Volvo experience with commercial vehicle repair is required
- At least 2 years' related experience is required
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required, with a CDL preferred
- A customer-focused mindset is essential
- Computer experience necessary to perform diagnostics and research
- ASE Certification or Technical School training is preferred
Qualifications
Experience with commercial vehicle repair, prior Mack/Volvo experience, at least 2 years' related experience, valid driver's license, safe driving record, CDL, customer-focused mindset, computer experience, and ASE Certification or Technical School training are preferred qualifications.
