Pay
$31.51 per hour
- $100 certification bonus for each new ASE certification obtained (up to $700)
- Quarterly bonus up to $500 (four times per year)
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Weekends off
- Second shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification (preferred)
- Post-secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools (required)
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (e.g., oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred; must be able to obtain within 6 months after hire)
- Must pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background/motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
Responsibilities
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard maintenance, component inspections, and preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools as applicable
- Identifies root causes of basic failures/conditions and performs repairs as required
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Utilizes Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Works in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (e.g., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Performs other support duties as required, such as Service Island support
