Duties & Responsibilities
- Fulfills workplace and vehicle safety procedures.
- Follows MSDS training and guidelines.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance - lube, filters, inspection.
- Completes routine rebuilds and replacements.
- Makes best value and safety decisions regarding repair or replacement.
- Performs technical repairs and/or replacement.
- Completes personal paperwork for direct/indirect labor accountability.
- Adheres to good housekeeping standards.
- Inspects and replaces drive line components.
- Removes and replaces transmission and clutch (R&R).
- Uses advanced and continually upgrading tools.
- Adjusts valve and injector settings.
- Removes and replaces steering & chassis components.
- Performs basic welding & cutting.
- Serves fifth wheel and rebuilds/king pin wear.
- Removes and replaces all engines.
- Corrects diagnostic computer issues.
- Signs off on citation corrections.
- Performs accident repairs on tractors or trailers.
- Communicates with internal customers on stances, wait times, repair decisions, and status updates.
- Completes any other duties as required.
Basic Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Pass a background check and drug test.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Have excellent communication skills and be willing to work as part of a team.
- Have at least basic computer skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
- Own necessary basic tools.
