Diesel Mechanic Technician - Full-Time, 4-Day Work Week

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and related equipment.

Key Duties

• Performing preventative maintenance
• Inspecting brake systems, steering, and other critical components
• Ensuring equipment compliance with licensing and registration requirements
• Documenting all repairs and maintenance activities
• Using various hand and power tools
• Repairing onboard computers
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and battery checks
• Performing road call services
• Training other employees

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and overhauls
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with refrigeration systems and diesel engine/transmission rebuilds
