Diesel Mechanic Technician - Full-Time, 4-Day Work Week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and maintenance vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty vehicles
• Inspect critical components such as brakes and steering systems
• Ensure compliance with trucking regulations
• Complete detailed work orders
• Use various hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance
• Install onboard computers and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes and battery checks
• Provide road call services as needed
• Train other employees on repair and maintenance procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and component repairs
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in refrigeration or engine rebuilds
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety, licensing, and registration requirements
• Ability to document repairs accurately and work independently
