About the role
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and converter dollies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect critical components such as brakes, steering, wheels, and refrigeration systems, diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs.
- Complete detailed work orders using online management systems and document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately.
- Install and repair onboard computers and perform routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools.
- Ensure equipment is licensed, registered, and roadworthy before use.
- Perform road call services as needed and communicate professionally with team members.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.
