Diesel Mechanic - Fleet Technician B

Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to perform repairs and maintenance of tractor and trailer equipment at our brand-new Martin Brower shop in Enfield, CT.

Schedule

• Full-Time: Wednesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM or Tuesday–Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM

Pay

• $30.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately inspect, repair, and complete routine preventative maintenance of fleet equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance; maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards; ensure compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• Drive Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management, and customer vehicles; maintain a current driver qualification file as required by DOT (annual MVR check, DOT physical, and safety-performance history records from prior employers in the last three years)
• CDL holders will undergo a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and be subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds; occasionally lift, push, and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
