About the role

Join the Reyes Fleet Management team at our Reyes Beverage Group facility in Jacksonville. We are one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., seeking a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of tractors, trailers, and MHE equipment.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Pay

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending upon experience

Responsibilities

  • Accurately inspect, repair, and complete routine preventative maintenance of fleet equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
  • Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
  • Learn and assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards. Ensure compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
  • Drive Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management, and customer vehicles. Maintain a current driver qualification file as required by DOT, including an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT physical, and safety performance history records request from prior employers in the last three years. CDL holders will have a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and are subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2+ years of related experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess own tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push, and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school certification.
