About the role

Under limited supervision, you will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles while training and developing junior technicians. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment, as well as maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Read and interpret Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders.
  • Communicate with supervisor and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs.
  • Complete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards.
  • Train and develop junior technicians.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating professionally with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.

Requirements

  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

  • Handle tools and equipment requiring fine motor skills.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet.
  • Occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
