Diesel Maintenance Mechanic - Day Shift - RVI Hansville, AL Truck Stop

About the role

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned

Requirements

• 1 year of mechanic or maintenance experience required
• Must provide your own tools
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
• Experience with PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers
• 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach
• Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
• Ability to read and understand assignments
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Skills

• Basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
• Air brake, electrical and air conditioning work

Pay

$22.60 to $31.65 base pay, based on experience
