Diesel Mechanic Maintenance B Shift Full-Time RVI-Hanceville, AL

Requirements

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience required.
• You MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN TOOLS.
• You also need to have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.

Description

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Functions

To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned

Tasks

• This position requires a current valid State driver’s license.
• Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance.
• Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools.
• Minimum 1 year basic mechanical or maintenance skills including PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi - trucks and trailers, and minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder.
• May perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work.
• Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
• Must be able to read and understand assignments.
• Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Rehire Criteria

• Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
• If you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.

Work Shift

Work Shift B - 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.
With a rotating schedule always off Sundays
