Role Overview
Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel semi-trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and execute scheduled maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with supervisors on work orders and prioritize tasks.
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately using maintenance systems.
- Perform comprehensive repairs on tractors and trailers, including DOT inspections, brake systems, electrical components, suspension, and refrigerant systems.
- Maintain detailed service records and repair documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 3–5 years of related mechanic experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain essential mechanic tools.
- Completion of safety and equipment handling certifications (training provided).
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work in a warehouse environment, and handle repetitive movements.
Physical & Work Environment
- Must frequently sit, walk, stand, crouch, kneel, and reach.
- Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and moderate to high noise levels.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, with potential for travel.
