Die Setter

About the role

For 50 years, Dexstar Wheel has produced some of the highest quality American-made steel wheels for the marine, RV, utility, enclosed trailer and manufactured housing industries. Responsibilities

• Machine set-up, which includes installing, aligning and removing the stamping dies from the press, utilizing both hand tools and lift truck.
• Adjust machine settings—ram stroke, feed length, transfer system—to match part prints
• Run samples and perform quality audits, utilizing calipers, micrometers and indicators to verify that parts conform to the part print
• Inspect equipment, perform minor repairs, perform changeovers, clean/maintain machinery and dies
• Safely removing dies and tooling, as well as performing all aspects of the position while adhering to safety procedures and emergency-stop procedures

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of metal stamping die setting experience
• Motivated team player, self-starter and willingness to learn

Pay

The starting hourly pay rate will be based upon experience, with a range of $24-$28.

Schedule

This position is a full-time non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours a week.
