Die Setter

About the role

ResourceMFG is hiring Die Setter/Mold Change Technician (contract-to-hire) near Auburn Hills, MI (Orion Twp) for a plastic manufacturing company serving automotive, medical, and other industries.

Responsibilities

• Mount, align, secure, and hook up dies, molds, and auxiliary equipment.
• Follow strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA regulations, and company safety guidelines.
• Run initial test cycles, inspect parts using precision measuring tools, and verify output matches specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or material feed issues during production runs and fix or report tool wear and damage.
• Coordinate with machine operators and production supervisors to minimize changeover downtime.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the facility (e.g., sweeping).

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00/hr for all shifts.

Schedule

Shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm and 2:00pm - 10:00pm; Days: Monday‑Friday plus two Saturdays on, then one Saturday off.
