About the Role
Manages the daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department, overseeing patient services, personnel, scheduling, finance, and equipment. Ensures compliance with regulations and standards, supervising staff through professional and supervisory judgment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates technical operations, ensuring timely patient processing, prioritizing emergent cases, and maintaining image and data integrity in compliance with HIPAA.
- Supervises imaging personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Manages quality assurance, evaluates new technologies, and develops performance improvement programs.
- Assists in resource planning, oversees budgets, and makes independent decisions regarding department operations.
- Researches and recommends new imaging technologies to enhance productivity.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
- Five years of registered technologist experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Certification or licensure in ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB required.
