About the role
Manages the daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department, overseeing patient services, personnel, scheduling, finances, and equipment. Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, supervising staff through professional judgment and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates technical imaging operations, prioritizes emergent cases, and monitors RIS and PACS systems to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Supervises diagnostic imaging personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Implements quality assurance, evaluates new technologies, and suggests improvements to imaging protocols.
- Assists in strategic planning, develops department budgets, and recommends technological advancements to enhance productivity.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
- Five years of registered technologist experience and one year of leadership experience preferred.
- Certification or licensure in ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, or equivalent required.
