About the role

As a Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Services Engineer at Banner Health, you will be part of the Technology Management team, providing implementation, service, and support for all Banner Health medical equipment. This entry-level position assists in repairing Diagnostic Imaging equipment and learning to manage customer relationships through training and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the emergency service call process, including call assignment, travel to site, customer interface, troubleshooting, diagnosis, resolution planning, and call closure.
  • Assist in equipment installations, including pre-delivery tasks, mechanical/electrical installation, calibration, testing, and supporting clinical applications training.
  • Coordinate outside services and service-related activities.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and repair services.
  • Respond to service calls, schedule visits, and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Manage all aspects of service events, including Service Work Order processes, expense reports, and mileage submissions.
  • Document all work performed, maintain parts, tools, test equipment, and technical literature accurately and timely.
  • Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of clinical equipment, test equipment, tools, and parts.
  • Close service calls in adherence to company policies and submit required documentation (timesheets, service tickets, PM documentation).
  • Participate in or assist with continuous quality improvement initiatives at the departmental and hospital levels.
  • Manage assigned areas and vendor personnel supporting technologies.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in electronics or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage.
  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers, typically achieved through 2 years of exposure in the electronics/computer industry in a field service environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical repair and diagnostic troubleshooting skills, completed effectively and timely. Experience with diagnostic imaging equipment is a plus.
  • Able to collaborate in a team environment, take direction from leaders, and proactively complete assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field.
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
