Diagnostic Data Entry Specialist (Full Time)

Responsibilities
- Receive diagnostic codes (alpha or alpha numeric codes) and/or additional test orders from the pathologist.
- Enter the orders into the LIS for other team members to access and process.
- Enter the diagnostic code into the LIS to produce a macro, a paragraph of diagnostic information.
- Closing the case which adds the case to the queue for the pathologist to review and sign-out when appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED minimum required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Training and a post training assessment for all role-applicable SOPs and Laboratory Compliance workflows must be completed after hire but before any laboratory work can be completed.
- Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous medical data entry experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Licensure if Required: None required.
- Certification if Required: None required.
- Continuing Education Required: New Hire and Annual Training, including all required training sessions for all new and updated SOPs and updates to software systems as applicable.

Pay
$19 - $24.03 hourly pay range.
Schedule
Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 6:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment if needed.
