GEMCORE is recognized nationally as one of America's fastest-growing companies and a Top Workplace in Cleveland. We are seeking a highly motivated Diabetes Care Phone Specialist to join our dynamic team at Edwards Health Care Services (EHCS), a division of GEMCORE.

Responsibilities

  • Treat both new and existing customers like a family member.
  • Serve as inbound and/or outbound phone specialist for the Diabetes Care department.
  • Set up new customer accounts for medical products service, including diabetes supplies.
  • Support customers with concerns or questions, such as training delays, warranties, and supply ordering issues.
  • Obtain insurance, referral, physician, and patient demographic information.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and other department personnel to make a positive impact.
  • Exercise discretion and judgement in obtaining prior authorization/pre-certification/pre-determination and Certificates of Medical Necessity per insurance requirements to determine shipment and billing.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and computer skills with the desire to communicate with customers and prospects a majority of each workday.
  • Effective at retaining and disseminating health insurance plan information.
  • Ability to learn the products and receive training through virtual methods.
  • At least 1+ year’s experience in a customer service organization or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment.
  • Word processing skill of 40 WPM.
  • Detail oriented.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $20 - $25 per hour.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The schedule is 8:15am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
