RDN, Diabetes Care & Education Specialist: Pay range $30.91 - 46.36 / hour + based on experience. Work/Life balance to love what you do and where you live. What's Available:0.6 FTE (3 shifts per week - 8 hours/day). Monday - Friday, day shiftsNo Weekends or Holidays! What you will do:Provide LOVE + MEDICINE while supporting patients in the prevention and management of diabetes through individualized education, goal setting, and ongoing support. Work collaboratively with physicians, providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered diabetes care. Partner with patients and families to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully manage diabetes and improve overall health. Support our organization’s strong commitment to wellness and prevention, with opportunities to participate in health and wellness initiatives for our employees and the communities we serve. RDN will provide individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for diabetes and other nutrition-related conditions across outpatient, inpatient, and long-term care settings, creating a diverse practice environment and opportunities to maintain and expand clinical nutrition skills. What you need (RN):REQUIRED: Associate’s degree in nursing; DESIRED: Bachelor’s degree in nursing with certification as Diabetes Care and Education SpecialistLicense and Certifications (Required): Registered Nurse (RN) licensed minimally in the state of MN. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) within five years of hire date. Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross. What you need (RDN):REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics; DESIRED: Master's degreeLicense and Certifications (Required): Registered as a Dietitian - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Registered Dietitian State Certification or License and some positions may require multiple state licenses. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) within five years of hire date.
