On-Site Medical Call-Center Specialist

About the role

DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join our mission of saving lives through organ and tissue donation. We are particularly looking for professionals with expertise in communicating during difficult situations and building relationships with families.

Responsibilities

• Effectively capture medical information accurately and completely into donor management software.
• Facilitate the donation process through coordination and communication with donor families and medical personnel.
• Support families of potential donors and communicate the opportunity for the gift of donation to families who have recently lost a loved one using empathy and care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of a two-year degree in a health-related field, nursing, or paramedic/EMT certification.
• One to three years of experience in a health-care related position, including use of medical terminology.
• CTBS, RN, or LPN certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
• Exceptional teamwork, communication, and conflict management skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in intrapersonal skills along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

Schedule

This position is located in Nashville, TN and will be assigned on a rotating 12-hour schedule, specifically the night shift (6:00pm - 6:00am).
