About the role
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on building and maintaining a best-in-class healthcare reporting platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure solutions primarily on AWS, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including application development, security, networking, and operations—to implement automated, scalable, and secure environments that support our healthcare services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline development, cloud automation, and monitoring solutions. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing deployment workflows, ensuring system stability, and enhancing security through automation and continuous improvement practices. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience setting up CI/CD pipelines with open-source plugins
- At least 3+ years of experience working in DevOps, Agile, or Scrum environments
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with configuration management, cloud orchestration, and automation tools in AWS
- 5+ years of experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications within AWS cloud environments
- 2+ years of experience automating Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes
- 5+ years of experience writing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance
- Authorized to work in the United States and must have resided in the U.S. for at least three of the last five years
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services, ensuring scalable and secure infrastructure environments
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders across application development, security, networking, and operations teams
- Automate the deployment and management of applications and infrastructure components
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support development, testing, and production releases
- Set up, integrate, and sustain monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Splunk, and third-party solutions to ensure system health and performance
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop operational workflows and automation strategies
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards, including FISMA, FedRamp, and NIST guidelines
- Participate in team efforts to push technological boundaries and improve existing systems
- Maintain documentation and provide technical support for infrastructure and deployment processes
