About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our System Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of Pathfinder’s AWS infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, with clear pathways for professional growth. You will be responsible for supporting configuration, deployment, and monitoring of our cloud environment, contributing to infrastructure resilience and security. As part of our team, you will develop your skills in AWS, infrastructure as code, and automation, while actively participating in incident management, testing, and KPI reporting. We value proactive learners who are passionate about technology and eager to grow into a key player within our infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Coursework in architecture and administration of information systems
• PRACTICAL experience in system administration and Linux environments
• STRONG understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS services
• BASIC knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management
• EXCELLENT problem-solving and analytical skills
• EFFECTIVE communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• SUPPORT configuration and deployment of our AWS cloud infrastructure
• AID in managing vulnerabilities across infrastructure and dependencies
• MONITOR logs, alerts, and system health to identify and escalate anomalies appropriately
• PARTICIPATE in infrastructure testing, KPI tracking, and reporting activities
• LEARN and UNDERSTAND our systems and runbooks to become a reliable backup for critical incidents
• COLLABORATE with team members to improve automation, security, and operational efficiency
• CONTRIBUTE to documentation and knowledge sharing to enhance team capabilities
