DevOps Engineer, Jr.

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our cloud operations and platform engineering team. This full-time remote position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to grow their expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices.

Your role will involve supporting the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure, monitoring and troubleshooting Azure services, virtual machines, networking components, and hosted applications. You will also assist in managing Azure Storage, Azure Compute, and resource provisioning, and support disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, Azure Compute Services
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Bicep
• Understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines and release management
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Basic SQL Server administration and query writing skills
• Knowledge of IIS administration and Windows Services
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, YAML, and JSON
• Fundamental understanding of Active Directory and IAM concepts
• Strong networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls
• Awareness of Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts and testing methodologies

Responsibilities

• Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure services, virtual machines, networking components, and hosted applications
• Assist in managing Azure Storage, Azure Compute, and resource provisioning
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation activities
• Manage and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments
• Configure and maintain Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificate management
• Support Azure Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, and Load Balancer configurations
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Bicep templates
• Automate cloud deployment and operational tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
• Assist in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Support application deployment automation, release management, and environment provisioning
• Provide basic SQL Server support, including query writing and troubleshooting
• Support web server configurations, IIS, and Windows Services troubleshooting
• Contribute to high-availability, scalability, and disaster recovery initiatives
