DevOps Architect
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Architect to serve as the lead technical authority for our SOW1 discovery and assessment initiative. The role is remote.
Responsibilities
- Lead GitHub, Jenkins, and JFrog discovery across all three workstreams
- Design future-state AWS native architecture (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeArtifact, ECR)
- Evaluate Fleet vs self-hosted EC2 runner options for Windows agents
- Audit GitHub Actions vs CodePipeline fit; document pros/cons
- Lead Active Choices POC (Lambda + Parameter Store) and File Manager POC
- Map JFrog package types against CodeArtifact supported packages
- Define the Separation of Duties model via IAM for CodePipeline
- Deliver final discovery presentation to Venerable stakeholders
- Author migration plan timelines, milestones, and risk register
- Build cost comparison: AWS native vs current tooling
Requirements
- DevOps Architect

- Lead GitHub, Jenkins, and JFrog discovery across all three workstreams
- Design future-state AWS native architecture (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeArtifact, ECR)
- Evaluate Fleet vs self-hosted EC2 runner options for Windows agents
- Audit GitHub Actions vs CodePipeline fit; document pros/cons

- 10+ years DevOps/platform engineering
- Deep AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeArtifact, ECR, Lambda, SSM, IAM
- Jenkins pipeline architecture, shared libraries, plugin ecosystem
- GitHub Enterprise Server and Cloud, SSO, SCIM, IDP integration
- JFrog Artifactory and Xray repository management, package types
- Experience migrating Jenkins to AWS CodePipeline at enterprise scale
- Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise in AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeArtifact, ECR, Lambda, SSM, and IAM
- Proficiency in Jenkins pipeline architecture, shared libraries, and the plugin ecosystem
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise Server and Cloud, including SSO, SCIM, and IDP integration
- Knowledge of JFrog Artifactory and Xray repository management and package types
- Proven experience migrating Jenkins to AWS CodePipeline at an enterprise scale
- Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Haves
- FINRA or NYDFS regulated environment experience
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer)
- Kubernetes/EKS experience
- CloudBees CI enterprise experience
