Developmental Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC Maintenance

Position Summary

Job Duties

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift to 50 lbs. at a time, move up and down ladders frequently, work at heights frequently, able to work in various temperatures, and have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Hold a valid, state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

Preferred Qualifications

• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

Pay and Schedule

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00*.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
